OUR STORY

Guerrilla Kitchen was established in 2014 by chef Jay and his wife Taffeta Scrimshaw. Jay has been banging the pans for longer than he cares to remember having headed up Bibdendum and Chez Bruce in London before he and Taffeta moved out of the city to open their own establishment The Pheasant.

The Pheasant subsequently won Best British Restaurant 2009 on Gordon Ramsey's Channel 4 TV programme, The F Word, and was a great success.  However, after years of running and working in professional kitchens Jay and Taffeta became weary of the constraints of fine dining. Now with a young family, they wanted that all important work/life balance and a more relaxed way to share their cooking with local food lovers. Guerrilla Kitchen was born.

Jay's knowledge of flavours and textures along with his years of experience show in GK’s ever changing menu. If it's local and in season it's on the menu. You can find the Bao Bus weekly in and around Cambridge as well as on the national Festival circuit at such events as Latitude and Wilderness. Always evolving, Guerrilla Kitchen has recently launched a range of Bao Kits.

You can now enjoy the taste of Asian street food in the comfort of your own home!
